Abstract:

The GRACE mission has led to significant improvements in the modeling of long wavelength gravity field signals. Several spherical harmonic models have been developed, e.g., by GFZ, CSR, and JPL. These models show an accumulated formal geoid error of 0.01 m up to about spherical harmonic degree 75, which is a major improvement compared to any previously existing model.
